L4 Google -> 45 interviews, 5 offers, AMA
Hi, I have a Sales role opportunity at MF, in Europe, UK, Netherlands, France. What the compensation plan looks like? TC - 160 #sales #devsecops #apps #microfocus
Any ideas about the compensation plan ?
No clue, we didn’t get that far in the conversation. 4 interviews and then no response until I reached out and recruiter said they were entering a hiring freeze
Micro Focus is just a plane slowly crashing. Not worth even considering.
Thank you. They didn’t move forward after a few interviews. Recruiter said they got a note stating hiring freeze. Not sure if 100% true or they wanted to let me down easy. But either way I think I dodged a bullet.
If you read their quarterly reports, it has been on a decline for years. You dodged a bullet. There are much better options
Its definitely a maintenance/support game, can only make money on compliance and renewals because the product is stale in many parts of the business. In Cyberres, the OTE was 280K with a $3M quota. No expense account, no ability to travel without VP approval, marketing is non-existent, no sales enrichment tools, they just bought Salesloft, salesforce is a dumpster fire made for the finance team - most sales folks cant decipher or build their own reports, did I say there's no marketing? Most folks use a spreadsheet to run their deals and track their business. if you close $3M you make $140K commission (before taxes) - at a startup if you closed $3M you'd make at least $300-500K in commission. Benefits are subpar.
I honestly read “StaleSoft”.
I was approached by them and but hiring freeze made them not continue. I was wondering the same about ranges.
