Got the following offer from micron for E5 - Principal in Boise 200K (base + bonus), target is 15% so this puts base ~175K Match current employer RSU ~100K+ Seems low to me, I'm trying to get some 20-25% over current TC. is that possible for E5 or that's DMTS territory? YOE 15 TC 250K #micron
What’s the role? If it’s anything process related, I think this is pretty good for what Micron usually offers for an E5. You can possibly ask for SMTS and see if that comes with a bump in their base offer. I don’t see why they can’t do that with your 15 YOE (especially if you have a graduate degree)
Principal firmware engineer is the position, hardware/software codesign, architect type role it looks like
That role, I don’t know. Have you checked levels.fyi ?
Massively underpaid. Go to F/G/N for 500k+
Try for SMTS..

OpenAI vs Stripe Offer (Non-Eng)
Location? L5 means what, principal?
edited the post, this is in Boise, Principal/E5
It seems decent offer for principal at boise, congrats. But expected to offer higher level with 15yoe I believe. Whats the field? SW, HW, Process or Device?
