I'm being hired at 67. What does it take to 68 and after how many years? Tc 800 L7 at amazon Yoe 25
Mind sharing the tc split? Congrats on the offer /\
Amazon L7 goes up to 800k?
Most L67s never make it to L68. I do not know how many partners there are currently, but when my spouse was at Msft, an L66, there were just under 1,000 out of 100,000+ employees. It takes political acumen, connections and luck to break the partner barrier Congrats, you will be well compensated at L67.
Many partners regret not staying at 67. 67 is a well paid, terminal level at MS with a much, much lower level of politics. High performing 67s will make more than most 68s, and 68s need to move up if they want to be around for long. 67s can stay there for a decade with no issue at all.
That rings true, @Eng; we know several partners who were pushed out at the 3-4 year mark.
L7 to 67 is pretty good . Are you an IC or EM? I think it is the same as Amazon given the right opportunity and leadership you can probably get 68 in 2-3 years . But same as amazon most L7 will not achieve L8 . It is easier if you are an EM
Ic
I’ve been pulling $1M last two years as an L67 given stock appreciation and I haven’t gotten top rewards and I’m not even on technical pay scale (business side). I did get a few SAs.
What is a good 67 new offer?
And I agree why bother with 1O-20% more pay for 50% more stress at 68.
Yes engineering... DM me.
