Microsoft Azure Edge + Platform
Received an offer from Microsoft for SWE 1 in Azure Edge + Platform. It’s not a team specific offer. The recruiter said the team will be assigned closer to the start date. I would like to know more about Azure E + P like what do they do? What’s the tech stack in most of the teams? How’s the WLB? TC : 180K
Why not wait to get promoted to L5 before switching?

I work in Edge+Platform. WLB is decent I don't know what others are talking about. Of course there is on call but at this point hwo doesn't. The suite of products under this org is broad. Microsoft is very VP driven and everytime changes happen at thi level teams get shuffled around. I will not try and guess. I work in the sub org called health + standards. We manage a lot of core telemetry services used in Azure both 1p and 3p. Think Amazon cloud watch.

That’s what I have been hearing. But I also heard that it’s mostly team and manager dependent.
