I received an offer from AMD, Santa Clara, CA with a TC of 230k (YOE 3.6), it's a MTS role. What do you think of the offer? I have another offer with Intel TC 240k, which one would be better?
Join AMD over Intel in current situation. AMD has better outlook for next few years and solid execution.
OP, Thanks for the clarity. How does the TC of 230k look, is it fair? I tried negotiating to 250k but didn't get approved.

My nuvia offer at 8 yoe was 170k base, 115k sign up bonus, 250k/3 RSUs. Bonus target is 15-20% and annual refreshers are 75-100k, this is for staff level. I ended up taking AMD for ~280 because of WLB concerns lol. From what I’ve seen of friends, MSFT can offer ~170k base and up to 350k/4 RSUs, but you have to push so good thing you will have the nuvia offer. Refreshers will be significantly less than Nuvia btw, assuming you get 64 it will be 30k average. I’d much rather work at MSFT but depends how much you value WLB
I’d say Nuvia CPU team has still got the edge. Unlike big company (apple, AMD) the small team feel has been well preserved and there is freedom to work anywhere in the team. So lot more learning, if that matters to you. And, wlb can only get better.
Definitely Nuvia CPU .. they have excellent team and great product. You will learn and earn MSFT Cpu team will definitely not be cutting edge
