So for ESPP, it's 10% off of the closing of the final offering period? I thought there was also lookback as well? Example: Offering Period Starts: 10/01 Offering Period Ends: 12/31 Price @ start: $200 Price @ end: $225 I pay 0.9 of price at end, which is then $202.5, rather than 0.9 at start (with lookback) which is $180 YoE: 2.5 TC: 240k
From what I remember, I think MSFT does not do lookback. Better than nothing. We don't have ESPP.
Meta pays more though. I'd take nearly double the TC for loosing the ESPP
No dude the work life balance is better so Microsoft is better (tc 330k, 3 yoe)
10% off closing.
Apple used to provide the discount on the lower (start, end) closing price
Tragedy 😭😭😭 thanks everyone for commenting!!
Might be better just buying on your own without the discount and getting the th gain most of the time
How is it better without the discount?
If you buy at the start
Of course this is only anecdotal, but since I joined 1 year ago, my ESPP batches have been making bank!!!!! Lookback doesn't matter when the stock keeps climbing up!!!
It does matter of course.
Microsoft espp is not competitive. Should have a look back to make it a better benefit.
