Am awaiting for H1B transfer that is filed by MSFT. - Will it be too risky to join based on the receipt? - Has there been any H1B transfer denial for biggies like MSFT? Thanks.
I joined ms with a receipt and don’t recommend this. It took a long time, got rfe, and waiting for a rfe result.
Sure. But RFE is very natural these days. What is the problem with the long time?
I am appalled by your spelling of Microsoft, and btw it's not a good idea to join without approval.
Problem is that my project is shutting down and I might be unemployed in my current job in couple of months. So, I am thinking of joining MSFT on receipt. Suggestions?
Isn’t that a great opportunity to receive severance and simultaneously wait for approval? With your original thinking the worst case is terrible - neither of the 2 is a likelihood.
What is the worst case if I join without approval? May be RFE followed by a denial. But for MSFT, is this scenario even possible? Did MSFT has H1B denials in the recent past? Another worst case is that the petition is RFE for a long time, but eventual Approval. This is not that bad either. Just that we wont be able to travel outside US until approval is obtained.
