L62 in MS and SE2 in Uber. Compensation wise uber is better. But culture wise, is Uber a good place to be in right now? YoE - 7 MS TC - 32lpa + 32Kusd stocks Uber TC - 36lpa + 75kusd stocks

The comp difference here is so huge that you can't pick Msft over Uber. If it was comparable I'd have said go to Msft. You can also try and negotiate and see if msft can match Uber if you haven't done that already.
why msft over uber? Assuming negotiation with msft goes well and they match
Very simple reason is Uber stock is heading south while msft is heading north. So your comp will increase more likely with msft. And I've heard about a lot of layoffs in Uber lately. No guarantee that it won't happen again. Msft wlb and culture is quite nice. Although it depends on the team as well and it's all just what I've heard. I've not been in either of these companies but I'd prefer to be in msft compared to Uber right now. However, if Uber can turn things around and be profitable there is a huge stock growth potential so your TC will skyrocket. It's risk vs stability.
Go for Uber - much better TC, arguably much better brand. I knew some of the engineers who were layed off recently, all of them had a new job in 15 days.
At L62, you can easily get 60k stocks in Microsoft if you negotiate. Culture wise both are meh but I’ve heard worse about Uber.
75k usd stock for uber is per annum or for 4 years?
For 4 years. OP’s in 🇮🇳
Oh. Not so attractive as I thought then. So in US Uber gives stock on per year basis? I am new here so not sure if the reported compensation figures for stocks are per annum figures or multi-year figures (for all companies including Uber)?
