I have a 3 round internal interview for MS. This is for a Sde1 position. what can i expect for the interviews? will it be all algorithm / data structure questions? or a mixture of design / algo problems? For anyone who has gone through this loop, please give me some advice :)
Would you say i should focus more on algorithms problems? Or do they stress on system design for an sde1 role?
No idea, but probably not so hard. I got into the loop via referral and my offer was pulled off to please some internal transfer. Fast forward 3 months and the hiring manager got in contact to explain the position was still available if I wanted, the reason was the other people left the company. I refused to engage and later my contact there told me the internal was not performing and had zero domain knowledge to the position. You're going to be ok.
thanks for your helpful contribution to OP

Dhruv Rathee speaks lies about Ch. Shivaji Maharaj
I have done this loop 3 times. It’s mostly simple coding and algos. A lot of cultural fit as opposed to technical. Some teams are very picky and some are less. It all depends, I normally ask the hiring manager about how many applicants they have to gauge the idea of difficulty level and if I don’t get a good answer then I don’t interview.
