I’m a SWE Level 61, and I’m looking to switch teams ASAP. I’ve interviewed for a competitive role at a different team in E+D (it gained a lot of traction on a LinkedIn post). So I applied through the msft internal site and the interview loop went so great. I sent the hiring manager a thank you message after I completed the loop and expressed my enthusiasm. I vibed really well with the hiring manager, and one of his employees followed me on LinkedIn after they interviewed me. I’m waiting patiently for the results but I’m getting paranoid thinking about the big candidate pool. - Do hiring managers prioritize internal Microsoft employees over external applicants? - Is doing well on interviews sufficient to get an internal offer at Microsoft? Or are there more politics around it? #engineering #software #swe
