Microsoft L64 -> L65

I've been extended an L64 offer for a TC of just under 265 (assuming target bonus, excluding sign-on). I was wondering... 1. Expected range of time to promotion from L64 to L65 2. Expected bump in comp (outside of increased bonus/refresher target) for a promotion to L65 3. How'd I do in terms of comp (low, middle of the road, high, etc)? Edit: It's for an SWE role.

L64 -> L65 is not easy. Expect at least couple of years.

Wow, low TC for 64. Someone else on Blind is make 260k as SDE2. You got some catching up to do.

What is normal for base and RSU? According to levels.fyi, it's above average. Again, the numbers are excluding sign-on bonus.

Isnt L64 higher end of senior sde at msft? Solid offers for sde 2 nowadays make closer to 300k...

My l64 offer is about $200k (base+target bonus+stock) which is low. But I'm from Texas.

Agreed but I'd also understand that different geolocations will have different calculations to affect the offers. Doesn't MSFT have a range for new hires in the same level? I saw people got offers close to $300k with the same l64.

How does bonus works in Microsoft? 15% all cash and any refreshers?

Tableau AcidBurnn Mar 19, 2020

Close to nothing in refreshers
