For this L67 offer: 240k base, 1MM stock, 250k sign on in year 1 and 150k sign on in year 2, is this a tier 2 or tier 3 offer? I assume tier 1 will be much lower which doesn’t require any additional approval. Current TC: 500k
May I ask how did you got the interview? Thru referrals or just applied thru the career website ?
Through referral.
Tier 2. Getting a Tier 3 offer is a drawn out process
How much time would it take for tier 3?
My recruiter indicated it would take several days for a L65 tier 3 offer. She said a separate comp committee reviews your resume and candidate profile closely, your manager and skip have to write a bunch of justifications, andit needs VP feedback. Also, your hiring manager has to really REALLY want you. Things r probably slightly different for L67. I'm guessing Tier 3 offers are more common there than lower levels so it might be easier. Best way to check is to ask your recruiter for the escalation process and go from there.
Are you getting promoted from L66 to L67 with this offer?
Lowball. Got a L66 UR approval for $250K base with $1MM stock with $300K signing bonus just a few years ago. My own offer years ago as L67 was $250K base with $1M stock and $400K signing bonus and I’m not UR. Obviously, the tech field completely changed during the last couple of years.
lol how many times have you interviewed with Microsoft 🤣
Thanks for the data points! What does UR mean? Also the L67 offer you shared is on par with this one.
Congratulations!! Thats 700k TC for first 2 years
Yoe? Are you in Microsoft already and is it your promotion offer?
Is this swe or management ?
