Base : 137K Signing : 15K Rsu : 25K This is the second time they upped the offer. It’s for consulting services. Is the manager the one upping the offer or is it the HR person? How many times can we go back and forth before they rescind? Initial offer didn’t even include stock or signing. yoe : 4 location : Boston
The base matches level 62 which is one level below senior. Congrats on the offer.
Btw you can always negotiate. I don't think they'll just pull the offer since they're pretty serious upping it twice. Worst case is they'll say that's the highest they can go. Just be respectful, tactful, and professional. You shouldn't have any problems
Thanks for the advice. Any tips about being at Msft?
Microsoft has a lot of benefits. Be sure to use them all. Pluralsight, stay fit, hsa, 401k match, travel budget, etc.
I’ve had coworkers go way more than 3 times.
As a SWE?
Yeah I believe title is consultant but LVL62
Base puts you at L62. However, stock and signing dont. Ask for more signing and stock.
Good offer , high end of range for 62. They could go higher on RSU, seems kinda low but other than that, in line with the level and role.
Are you a consultant as well?
Used to be, moved into sales a few years ago.
62 is a high offer for 4 YOE. Most get 60-61

Is this a software engineering position, or closer to IT consultant?
More like a PFE or working at client offices
