Just accepted an offer from Microsoft. It’s located at HQ. I’ve been apartment hunting online and I’m not really impressed with anything I see in terms of space. Are there and suggestions on 2B2B with reasonable square footage? Also considering renting a townhouse as they have a few decent ones on Zillow. Any suggestions out there? @Microsoft #housing
Good luck. Every apartment i called was sold out of the 2/2s. It was a blessing in disguise for me tho because it made me realize that the price of such apartments (>2800) is comparable to 3/4 bedroom houses. Unfortunately those are also very competitive I'm at 2 weeks now, with Zillow and Trulia instant messages and I've only been able to get 2 showings. They go within the hour.
Thanks. I’m trying to push back my relocation date as far as possible and have come to the conclusion that at this point I might as well not even bother looking because as you mentioned, inventory goes pretty much in minutes.
Consider Bellevue and Kirkland as well which are reasonable distances from the Redmond campus and are also really nice suburbs.
I would expand my search from Snohomish to the north to North Bend in the East and Renton on the south. In Renton, look for east Highlands… the rest of Renton is sus.
Thanks! I’ve heard East Highlands recommended a few times. I will expand my search out a bit because close options are very limited and rather expensive.
I may… or may not live in the highlands…. But if I did, I could tell you in a great place to live. 😉
How long are they giving you to relocate? You mentioned you are trying to push your date back.
