Hey folks, I transferred to Canada due to visa issues last year, but got my H1-B picked up this year. I am kind of researching the market to know the current base salary trends in Microsoft for SDE II (L61) with 2-ish years at company (total of 4-ish YOE). I wanted to know the numbers from fellow MSFTians with similar YOE. For context, I am not expecting a promo this review cycle. I was at 144k USD base when I left US. I left right before rewards kicked in last year but I would've been at 154k USD base if stayed in US. Transfer to Canada definitely affected my total comp (e.g. 122k CAD is my base now). However, what are the numbers that I can expect for my new US offer? Since FTEs at MSFT won't have base salary increases this year, is expecting 160k+ USD in base a far fetched goal? I would really appreciate any help or inputs. Thanks in advance! #engineering #software #swe #microsoft TC : ~188k CAD (L61)
L61 is about $150k with $50k sign on. I don’t remember stock that people received
I guess sign on is for new joinees only, I've been with the company for 2-ish years.
Wow! Lvl 60 with 144k as base!?
