Hey guys, what kind of base pay + Annual Bonus + Sign on bonus + RSUs will an experienced engineer expect for the titles listed in this thread in Seattle? Thanks for any help that can be offered!
Glassdoor helps mate...
Just got promoted to Senior. 147K base.
With these salary ranges, Looks like i need to jump to service engineer from software engineer
I was under the impression SDEs made more than SEs. What level and salary are you at?
They do not. Both are on the engineering pay scale.
What is the percentage on your annual bonus?
Target bonus for senior is 15%. Target for SE2 is 10%. I've received 12% and 14% at SE2 without trying too hard.
Is the order Service Engineer, Service Engineer II, Senior Service Engineer (Service Engineer III)?
^^ correct
Service Engineer II, base is $147k, sign on was $12k stock with $12k relo.
Heh, good to know they are still screwing service engineer on stock... And they wander why they have a retention problem
Stock SUCKS. On average I get about $10-12k a year.
Service engineering roles are slowly being eliminated across the company. Do not take.
Well, it will change. You can't be a hardware monkey, you have to be good at coding/automation
Company is slowly trying to adopt SREs, I heard that they will retitle you to SRE in certain teams but won't expect you to code immediately if you can't. Training will be provided. However, service engineering roles have very slow promotions as far as I have seen.
What is SRE?
