My recruiter gave me a verbal offer 3 weeks ago and informed me a week later that it was in the final stage of approvals. However it’s almost been 2 weeks since then and I still do not have a offer letter. My recruiter has not responded to emails for the last week. Is it usual to for Microsoft to take 3 weeks to give offer letter? And Is it possible that they take back the verbal offer? And my recruiter is aware I had to turn down Oracle offer as I was interested in Microsoft
Happened with me with Microsoft. Verbal offer, then awkward silence for 3 week, then an awkward email about reorg. But this was 3 years ago. Heard it's better now.
Did you get offer after 3 weeks?
Nope. I got another interview with another team, but I didn't do as well in that.
Just say you have offer from other company and want to make a decision soon. And then see how the offers rolls in your inbox.
It's normal right now. A new HR system was just rolled that has offers backlogged do to some glitch. If you have a verbal, try to be patient as things make there way through the system.
When I was hired it took almost 2 weeks to get an offer letter because the comp plan was changing and they were finalizing details. Sometimes Microsoft is slow. It was worth the wait
The worst thing is that recruiter doesn’t respond to let me know what’s the status of the offer. It’s been more than 10 days since she replied
You've pinged him/her and they haven't responded at all?
This is the state right now because of the new system and huge backlog. Be patient!
Do you know approximately how long would an offer process take right now?
It took around 2 week for us. Keep asking for the status.
Any recent update ? @cisco
Did you finally get the letter ?
Yes
Are u the OP? How long did it take you to get the offer and did you have to contact anyone?
It took mine 2 weeks. I say just keep interviewing. What shit happens all the time.
Did you get offer recently?
