Microsoft application status

I was referred to Microsoft almost a month and half back. I can see that my application status is “Application review” for more than a month now. any idea what does it mean? are they still reviewing other applicants or have they already moved with other candidates? does it really take that long after you have been referred even to get your first call? Any insight would be really helpful. TIA
