Got offer and working on background check. I just realized something. My university has 3 branches. Resume:, University campus A Background check: University campus A However for some reason due my mistake or I think career profile page was not letting me put branch I just have University. No branch information. Now campus A is the main campus and if you don't specify people will assume you are talking about the main one which is where I went to school so it's not like I am trying to show I went to school i did not go Could this be a problem? Will hr think I am misrepresenting something. I am really worried like I messed up life time opportunity. Also rejected other companies for this. Do they care about careercenter profile? Dude you are overthinking this way too much. You’re fine, no one cares the exact branch or the exact month. It’s just MSFT sheesh
Updated. It's usually campus in us but same concept. It's just that some campuses of universities like UMich Ann Arbor is considered more competitive than UMich Dearborn
Considered more competitive by who? I promise you that even in US, no one really cares which campus you went to. I hardly even look at the resume when I interview. Anyways, you’re fine. You got the offer, you accepted, just go relax until you start or something
You’ve overthinking. Just focus on your relocation and where to spend your sweet sign on bonus bud.
Hmm since this is MSFT, I will use Univeristy of Washington (UW) as example. University of Washington would refer to the Seattle campus or main campus. Other campuses would include the location. For example UW Tacoma Campus or UW Bothell. However, the main campus is just UW without "Seattle campus" usually
This does ring a bell. I think I could not find my campus within the list but I did see other campus with name
Microsoft doesn’t care. You’re fine. I went to a small state school.
Unless you put in a uni that you didn’t go to…You’ll be fine..they also reach out if they need any clarification.
Ok. First big company job so very worried.
Dude you're good as long as you're not lying about anything
For some reason I only have years in career profile too but no month. Also worried about that. It just has yearA to yearB but not yearA month1 yearB month2
@New - there's nothing wrong with thinking in years, particularly as your career gets longer. I can hardly remember what month I started my first job in, and couldn't possibly remember starting and ending dates for any of the jobs I had in college.
