https://www.fastcompany.com/91072894/slack-claims-victory-as-microsoft-will-split-teams-from-office The director of Teams is an awful useless man.
It's a facade to meet legal requirements. If the M365 no Teams SKU is priced the same as the regular M365 SKU with teams, who is going to buy the former?
Microsoft makes some competent enterprise software, but teams is a total and utter abomination. To think that it managed to dominate Slack is down to Microsoft dexterity around selling enterprise software.
No it’s not. It’s down to the unethical and should-be-illegal (is in some countries) practice of telling companies they can have your competing product (Teams) for free and selling them and migrating to that from slack. It’s a numbers game. Slack sued MSFT in Europe for it.
Almost the entire Microsoft enterprise sh**ware ecosystem should be burned down. The operating system is OK I guess, save for the built in ads/spyware (wtf?), but teams, outlook, and office are utter garbage.
