Exactly how are Microsoft hiring events different from regular hiring loops? Am I right to assume that there are multiple head counts and they could be looking at candidates of more varied seniority levels. Anything else? Roughly what percentage of the candidates would get offers? Thanks!
Hiring events are four 45 min rounds that happen either in the morning or afternoon. Decisions are made the same day if not next day. Its for the org/group vs regular hiring loops are for a specific position where the hiring manager has a heavier role. Source: been through the hiring event. Also I can say hiring events are no less easier than regular loops if I gave you that impression
Are the evaluation of candidates different from regular loops?
I do not have insights on that.
I've been on both sides. U get 4 interviews. And the interviewers come to you. Also snacks and shit.
Is anyone's team hiring backend dev at msft?
I heard amazon is better in terms of pay than msft.also aws is doing better than azure. Amazon stock is out performing all other stock . Why do you want to move?
Pay is not better except for the recent rise in stock price.
Azure got good earnings. Good increase each year. That's better than aws in terms of percentage increase.
