Supposedly you can transfer within the same org (under the same VP) without interviews.

I will be moving to azure Cloud Supply Chain and Provisioning team in Redmond. Are there Azure teams in Bay Area ?

I'm sure there are Azure teams but I don't know how the orgs work besides that. Hopefully someone who works there can respond.

This is why we have so many boomerangs. Leave, come back 1-2 years later at 2-5 levels higher in a better role.
