Question to MSFT folks - How much is "Up to" exactly? Are they fully remote or are folks required to go in for a few days? Is there a catch here? #microsoft #jobs
If it's in MCAPS then 100% work from home is given. Especially in the ATU, CSU, STU roles. If PM, engineering, then I doubt
So engineering is hybrid?
Kind of defeats the purpose if sales folks get to do WFH 24x7. Without face time with customer. MCAPS until last year didn't have a single role thatw as WFH 24x7. This year they have Digital STU that's 24x7 WFH. Kind of a dead end job though
Depends on the team, you'll have to ask to find out.
Depends on the org. Most will let you be 100% remote but if your VP is a control freak, it could be hybrid.
Is MS reaally hiring for so many positions? They contacted me approximately 3 weeks back, shortlisted my profile , scheduled the interview but didnt send invite. Recruiter called again and gave some vague reason and said she will schedule again. I am still waiting to hear back. All followups from my side are in vain , they call only when they want.
I am an M1 and able to approve 100% remote of my reports even to different states, without any VP \ CVP approval
Do you get any pushback? I’m currently applying for entry/mid level roles there. Not willing to relocate at all, I love my life in LCOL
In atleast 1 org that I know of, a VP has enforced hybrid. No overruling by M1 allowed.
Azure networking. We work 100% of the time and also from home :)
In my org in E+D, you get to keep a dedicated office if you come on average 3+ days (as calculated by the best 8 of your last 12 weeks). If you don't care about office, you can wfh completely and I have plenty if coworkers who do.
This is more or less the whole company. Not all roles have the option, but BELT is pretty much universal and everyone is instructed to define target office % in EmpCen.
How are you guys getting a response from Microsoft? I apply multiple times for roles I qualify for and no one bites

I am starting to think Chinese interviewers currently fail non-Chinese candidates on purpose.

Cleared Amazon onsite, but lowballed.
Language is vague for a reason. 0% is up to 100% too, so anything qualifies.
All jobs are up to 100% WFH
