Recruiter spoke to me about the numbers they can offer. I have accepted the offer verbally. I asked for offer letter and she said she’ll prepare the document in 3 days. Later that day she reached out to me saying do not reject other offers I got because at present she is waiting for approval from business for my offer. Is this common? I am confused and scared at present. Please share your experiences. #engineering #software #swe #microsoft
Til you get the written offer, you don’t have anything yet, prepare accordingly
They are finding other low-balled target
The recruiter is just safe guarding you Until there is a solid written offer Nothing is final
Better than most recruiters, I'd say. Many will lie and strong along unsuspecting candidates
They are trying to still search for others but don't want you to have competing offers. Until you have and then sign the offer, companies still keep interviewing for the role.
Can I ask how long your interview process took? I recently finished a take home project for a position at Microsoft and still waiting for feedback. Communication with recruiter has been very tough as I don’t get any responses back via email
You can use other offers as competing offers.
For me it took 3 business days to get the offer approved. So it is quite normal. The current market conditions scares everyone off. So don’t worry.
DM’d you regarding offer details
Congrats ! Can you share offer details
It’s just normal as Microsoft offers take time
