Hey everyone, I have an offer from the Microsoft Azure storage team and am being asked about my expectations on Base, Bonus and Stock. 1. Is this a good team with good WLB? 2. What numbers should I provide for the above? 3. What level should I be pushing for? Can I ask for 63? 4. Will the recruiter allow changing teams if I don't want to be in Azure? L63. 180/500/100k sign on. Wlb not as good as rest of MSFT and on call can be brutal. Also try to maximize your offer. Refresher for l63 is 24k stocks split over 4 years. You can transfer internally but the process is longer than what external candidates go through and does not get you a new offer or uplevel.

I felt they lowballed me. I was asking for 63 for my experience and my interviews went really well too, they weren't budging to go beyond 62 Base: 170, bonus 60, stock 200 is what they offered

I have declined it for now. It also mentioned a variable of "up to" 20% base as an annual bonus and "up to" 25k of annual stock refresher. However, I didn't feel like it was worth it
Good decision. Comp would have sucked in the long term at MSFT.
