Google and Amazon left shell shocked - they don’t know how to respond
Oh I don't think anyone at Amazon is shocked we're losing in AI lol. Especially since we absolutely gutted Alexa in the layoffs
Alexa is hardly a path to AI…
“Taking over” is not the right phrase here
To clarify: to “take over” means to acquire. Outperform would be a correct term here
“Overtake” would be most accurate if we’re assuming MS is actively poaching customers
They might have to fire people due to the high cost of AI and wanting to keep margins
They = Microsoft ?
Nope Google and aws. Already happened
Hyperbole
Going to sell this hype
God I wish that were me
Microsoft always had a presence in enterprises , starting from windows, msdn and mssql server . Pretty easy to develop on that relationship
Interesting. Microsoft’s really starting to get aggressive in stealing away market share from Google and AWS. Personally, I’m not the biggest fan of Microsoft due to the nightmare on earth that is Windows, but I’ve noticed that a lot of their newer products are more reliable. If they can get past their proprietary mindset and embrace more of an open-source approach to producing and maintaining software (getting rid of the botnet and telemetry on Windows to start), I can definitely see them crushing their competitors in the next few years, especially as they embrace AI and the creativity lost at Google and absent at Amazon. How much does Apple do that? They’re still doing fine as a company, mind you.
Apple does fine in spite of their practices, and not because of them. They’ve managed to control a monopoly by targeting the average non-tech user who doesn’t care about things such as being spied on or even how a computer works. Ironically, the bureaucratic and bloated EU has done more to stop Apple’s shoddy consumer practices better than America has.
The biggest thing they need to do is actually get those new customers to become true recurring paying customers. If it is only “let’s try this out”, they sunk a lot of money for little return. The hype is still very high right now and time will tell how businesses use LLMs in the future. Same goes for Google and Amazon
Okay! 😂
You know enterprise customers don’t burn the way regular customers do, right?
8% gains. You don’t know how to look at pre market value?
Wait till Google IO and see what they got
How about nothing?
Demos and empty promises. When was the last time google shipped some game changing ? Gmail? Android?
