https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.theverge.com/platform/amp/2022/1/18/22889258/microsoft-activision-blizzard-xbox-acquisition-call-of-duty-overwatch Congrats to all the activision employees on their new Microsoft WLB.
No wonder employees are paid peanut 🥜 because all the money goes towards big acquisitions
All the money? This is peanut money for msft, it's about half the profits from FY2021 alone.
How much cash does MSFT have in the bank?
This is chance to revive Blizzard, but I have no hopes, because all good people have left this sinking ship long time ago
This was why I was excited to hear this. But yeah OG blizzard is dead and the activision CEO is still around
Microsoft gonna run it to the ground. Only thing blizzard has going for it is COD
Please... nerds can't make good games.
Who makes good games then? Geeks, dorks, jocks?
Couldn't just do share buybacks, had to acquire a toxic asset
Has FTC approved this? Given their corrupt track record, they probably will though.
Yeah I’m surprised that the FTC hasn’t already stopped this. I guess the announcement wouldn’t happen unless there was some sign off from FTC.
Why wouldn’t this get approved? EA, Ubisoft, Rockstar, Taketwo, Sony, Nintendo, and Tenacent are all huge in the game space. No monopoly concerns here
They should buy Ubisoft next
