Everyone is talking about Texas and Florida as places to live with WFH. Here is a dark horse coming at you - Minneapolis-St Paul. What do you think? MCOL to LCOL. Lots of outdoor stuff. 11,000 lakes. Good schools. Strong economy, but not so strong as to push it into HCOL. Blue state, no retrograde culture or religious mandates.
Most people don’t enjoy the winter and snow, rather have consistent sun & nice weather
Honesty the only down side is 1-2 weeks during winter, otherwise way better than normal tech hubs
I went to school there and I have seen snowstorms even in May. It looks subarctic for a good 4-5 months.
Winter in MN is legit 6 months long.
It's going to be 5°F Wednesday. Not everyone is about that.
Nice place but the winters are rough
blue state - no thanks
Clearly you are not familiar with Minnesota... or Texas.
BRUTAL winter.
There are way better Midwestern cities
People only like Florida and Texas in the winter.
Mosquitoes will carry small dogs and children away in the summer if you’re not careful.
True, downside of 11,000 lakes
I have that joy right now in Texas too.
