Mobile Dev wanting to learn backend dev. Where to start?
I'm a mobile (iOS/Android) dev, and would like to getting my hands on how things are implemented e2e. (I'm so out-of-touch with non-mobile fields - so you can think of me as a total beginner here). Thinking of implementing a mini-instagram as a capstone project but doesn't know where to start on the API/Server side (so many technologies, resources available online - many of them are probably filled with 'bad practices' which I'd like to avoid.) Is there any good resource you all would recommend? Thanks!

Out of curiosity, what do you work on @ MSFT with mobile?
Can't give any specifics without revealing my identity, unfortunately. In case you're wondering, there are tens of teams working on mobile app development in MSFT - not just apps, but SDKs and tools too.
