Instead of chasing high TC, has anyone made more money by pursuing options trading or stock trading while working at a good WLB job? I can change jobs and get 20% raise or I can trade stocks to make 20% extra on the side. Any thoughts?
It's better to have high TC in FAANG AND also invest in stock market.
I can trade part time and make 5-10% every month. Sharpening skills and using the right tools like trading view, webull can make life easier. Watch this guys video and you can learn swing trading. His channel name is j bravo and has a course on it too.
What’s your trading strategy? Options or stocks? Day or swing? Do you use technical analysis or purely fundamental? (Curious and willing to my share ideas for discussion)
Using macd and rsi looking for over sold/over bought conditions with an upward trend.
Vicious cycle, booming bull market, people think they are trading savants, quit job to day trade, go broke. Not saying you are suggesting that extreme, but I think it's bad idea to sacrifice income for such a risky activity.
Trading to hit 20% consistently is a high risk activity.
Yes. I don't do options, but buy and hold long term. My TC (household 200kish) isn't super high compared to some so it somewhat easier to beat my tc in the market. Been having great investment growth over that the past few years. Have some doubts it whether it will continue in the next year. Buy low, sell high. Don't chase unless you are doing short term trading.

If you can consistently make that 20% extra money, you should quit your day job and make 100x your TC.
Lol, if making money in stock had a linear graph
It is linear until a few millions.
