More Remote work impact on industries

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-health-coronavirus-facebook/facebooks-zuckerberg-embraces-remote-work-outside-silicon-valley-idUSKBN22X2G4?il=0 It was Twitter, now FB. FB committed to nearly 50% remote work hiring in next 5 years. More companies could follow this especially future Startups. This would impact may industries Ride share, Restaurants, Apartment Rents, House prices. I think this could impact Housing prices a lot in Bay Area, Seattle, NY. Some industries could be benefit by this - Internet provides, Instacart, food delivery - UberEats, housing and rent in other areas could improve, more Netflix, boom in Virtual Reality. How do you think this could impact in comping years? What other industries do you think this could have negative/positive impact? #WFH

Make no mistake about it- companies are taking advantage of Covid as an opportunity to cut down on personnel spend as much as possible. They have an excuse to be especially ruthless. The thing I’m most worried about? Peoples mental health.

I’m not sure where the data points are coming for mental health, maybe no movement at home due to Covid but in general there are millions of workers on upwork, fiverr doing remote work and no one is complaining. Looks like remote workers are doing fine and all the companies are taking cues from them

Do you read Blind? There is a new post about someone saying how depressed they are every half hour, with tons of comments. How many polls there are with people saying they hate work from home.
