Monthly layoffs (Jan, Feb, Mar) are becoming a ritual now at Salesforce and plenty of high performers were laid off today right before bonus season. Bonus is slashed even after great earnings. More reasons not to join Salesforce due to poor leadership and execution.
What teams were impacted today?
Lol 😂 Nohana
There was never ohana to begin with.
At this point it's just about greed with these companies.
Laying off when everyone else is so it is lost in the news. Airbnb is about to have some more, too. The layoff wave is far from over.
Same here. Record profit 2021 Record profit 2022... spent $5 Billion on stock buybacks now we "have" to save $2 Billion in 2 years and laying off people because others are doing it.
Right before bonus season?! Wtf
Correct, and bonus is slashed by 30% this year.
They’ll still get their bonus. All people impacted since Jan are getting theirs. This will be no different.
Not seeing anything internally? Where you see it?
LinkedIn. It’s mostly sales and marketing
I know people who were affected so this is confirmed. Mostly sales people
Not seeing anything in news about this.
Look harder https://www.businessinsider.com/salesforce-layoffs-sales-marketing-marc-benioff-cost-cutting-2023-3
It's in the sales and marketing team in AMER, its on the internal slacks too
These are new layoffs? Or just executing the previous announcement
New and from the people I have seen these were not underperforming sales reps, they were meeting and exceeding quota so no rhyme or reason to it
Didn’t Salesforce just absolutely crush earnings?
Doesn’t mean anything. Leadership announced bonus will be slashed by 30% even after great earnings.
Seriously OP?! That is F**ked up. Was it this bad in the past or just this year. Had 3 friends working for Salesforce they said the leadership really cares
🤦♀️
