What would be a good base plus bonus for a VP level position in tech in NY?
Nope, It's not BA role. It's a tech programming role.
Since they are a bank and can shell out money, quote what you see on Paysa.com as your expectation and tell the recruiter that you're looking for compensation in that area.
Yoe?
I would expect up to 200k base plus something like 10-20-30? percent bonus, no equity. VP there is just a senior dev and the comp is kind of shitty.
200 is only possible with 10+ years or very good experience. Base for a junior VP in NY is 150 and it goes up slooooow
I would say at least 400 to 600 base then maybe 20% variable. Any less then that I'd say it's not worth it.
^ NOT this!
400 to 600? No fucking way!
Depending on YoE and how badly the team wants you - can be anywhere between 160-250 TC. Bonus would be 20-70k, rest would be base. More than 250 - unlikely.

Are the job titles very inflated at financial companies? Every body seems to be a VP or director.

Isn't a VP in finance the same as a BA?
A VP in finance is a frontline manager.
