Fire your criticisms away now.
CloudKitchens TC is far below the others in that tier and tiers below
Tier 1 doesnāt seem accurate. The rest is good.
A lot of people don't know what databricks is though
Ok so you got into databricks?
No. I thought I did well though. Even before the interview, their prestige was quite obvious.
You make a good point because once you become aware of Meta's formula then it becomes considerably easier. My thinking is that 2021 and early 2022 should be taken out of equation here because every company lowered their hiring bar.
I know like a dozen managers and staff engineers there. They tell me the bar has become super low. They donāt even change their LC question list. Google at least comes up with novel ones. Itās literally become a joke how people crack meta SWE interviews these days.
Where is Shopify
I struggled between tier 4 and tier 5 tbh. Great business though š.
Damn maybe if I keep grinding lc I can work my way up to Capital One some day
If you grind LC, do mocks...then all options from tier 0 will open up for you.
Why bloomberg so low?
Bloomberg is a gr8 company for SWEs but perception is that you get into Bloomberg only if you didn't get through the companies in the tiers above them. Doesn't pay well at all.
You forgot Intuit. I wonāt put Square and CB in Tier 2.
I am surprised you say that about square. Coinbase has been a much sought after company in 2021 and lot of good talent moved there in recent years. Square too infact. Intuit is tier4
I have talked to a few people from Square and CB and none of them were too enthused about them. Square engineering practices are questionable. But I get it. Your list is very similar to the prestige hunt. Your statistics are coming from 2021 and their perceived value from last year instead of their ACTUAL value.

Your perception not outside perception
Yes. My perception of what outside perception is based on my experience and discussions with others
