(reposted from wrong place) Well, which is it? The backend folks who play with server architecture, the frontend folks who play with buttons, the full-stack Chad who does both, or the systems engineers who build the OS and compilers and databases and everything else Chad needs to survive?

Prestige from respect, system engineer, you cannot find random dude to write firmware or and work with registers without proper education. Least prestige is fullstack, usually are not good at either plus bootcamper with MERN stack always call themselves fullstack.

Wrong question as Software development is not "engineering" And Google/Chatgpt/Bing search is not prompt "engineering"
Listen Microsoft, there's a widely accepted use of the title "software engineer" which involves doing work that qualifies as actual engineering. Just assume that's what we're talking about and go back to jerking yourself off.
