Do you mean Mountain House, Bay Area, CA? Standard disclaimer - Im not an investment advisor and you should use your own judgement. I would think of selling it and investing in Austin, Dallas areas. Crazy bidding going on there now and properties will appreciate. Or sell, and buy a new home in Tracy. A friend just booked an under construction house in Tracy, to be handed over in May, and its value is already up $50k.
How much does a similar house cost in Tracy compared to Bay Area?
If San Ramon is $1.5M, similar size house in Tracy may be $1M.
sell. if we end up RTO mountain house prices will crash and stay crashed. east bay on the other hand will go up and up. this includes rental income. if we stay remote both will appreciate.
That’s just speculation though, I don’t see a reason why MH would be any different from east bay.
if we RTO you honestly think people can commute from mountain house?
House rates will crash soon . Sell ASAP in this best market
Yes please sell so I can buy ;)
House "rates" are all but guaranteed to increase. We could see 4 to 7 increases just this year
No one has a crystal ball op but if you can rent it out then you can keep it for now.
Yeah it’s renting out and cash flow just fine. Not sure about future market condition and whether equity can just vanish
Never sell real estate

Which is a slight improvement to swap vs sell but is still a sale...
I'm a fan of the beef stroganoff flavor of mountain house
Apparently no one on this chain understands real estate investing …. Find houses / duplex/ 4plex that will give you a 6-8% cap rate or a great cash on cash return. If you’re cash flowing and in a great area no reason to sell unless you found a better deal. CA is not the place for great cap rates for cash flow… it’s purely an appreciation play. But if you bought right and you have great tenants and making enough to justify keeping it … no reason to sell. HODL.
There are mountain lions there.
What you had in mind when you bought in mountain house 😂
Not sure what you imply it’s appreciated well and cash flowing.
Yeah...so everywhere else in murica 😂
Good decision if you sell it.
