Mountain View Housing
Looking for an open room and roommates in the bay! Just got an offer from Google so I’m looking for a place around Mountain View or anywhere close by. If you or anyone you know is looking for a roommate, let’s chat. I’m looking to move in around June 1st since I start June 4th. Well it is crazy expensive. I am coming from Pittsburgh and downsizing from luxury apartment to prolly small room with shared bath

Man, reading this post makes me sad. I use to work in MV and even my directors and VPs were struggling with rent and buying homes. One VP lived near Tracy and made the commute almost everyday, not joking. My director settled on buying a 2 bedroom condo, a condo I skipped because it was too sketchy when I was searching to rent. Not hating, but I live in Washington and col is much lower and pay is only slightly lower at least at my level SDE 2. I live downtown in a 1 bd and it takes me 7 min to walk to work. It use to take me 1.5 hours to get to work each way. Now 1.5 hours gets me to a ski resort, national park, campgrounds, etc. I worked at a mid tier tech company, not Google/Apple/etc. so take this with a grain of salt.
Buy a van to live in
100 Moffett. $4300/month for a one bedroom but totes worth it

I thought so as well but someone grabbed my unit within seven days of it becoming available. And on their site now there is almost no inventory.
