Move out cleaning scams

I moved out of the rental house recently. According to the lease agreement, I have to restore the house to its original condition. The property manager “suggested” to use Nadia’s cleaning as he always used. So I called. She gave me an estimate of 6-8 hours, but she said she has to check the house, $60/hour. So I agreed, but on the day she came, She bought a young lady who is only speaking Russian to do the job. I asked her again to provide an estimation, but she refused and called my property manager saying they couldn’t do her job like that. The property manager sent me an email right away saying if I interfered with the cleaning, which resulted in the house was not clean enough, he would contact the cleaning to come back to clean again, and the cost would be deducted from my security deposit. I called the property manager, I thought there was some misunderstanding, did not notice it was some kind of scam yet. The property manager told me I shouldn’t ask for the estimate, it is rude to do that to a cleaning lady. He also asked me “What's wrong with subcontracting to someone else to clean” The cleaning lady took their time, it took a total of 11 hours to clean a fairly clean house that my regular cleaner just cleaned. So, thats total $660. The story does not end there, the next day, the property manager asked a walk through, and he said it was not a clean based cleaning standard. He will ask the same cleaning service team to come back and clean it again, and the cost will be on me. I told him, I didn't interfere nor ask the cleaning lady to leave early, but he is insisted that he need the same cleaning service team to come back to clean the rest. Any suggestions? I haven't pay the cleaning service yet.

Find out where the office is, show up with a crate of manure and throw it all over their facade...your money is gone anyway

You should be fined another $660 for your grammar.

Do you have original video of house when you moved in? If not take record now. Send manager written email that house is in original condition and you will sue him if any amount is taken. I had similar manger wanted me to charge for water damage but as soon as I involved lawyer they stopped.

How much did you pay to lawyer?

Amazon gUBwFh Apr 26

$100 bucks as I really did not use him just draft the letter but i would say send email with threat that might work.

Tell him you already used the cleaning service he told you to use. They cleaned it to his standard you aren’t paying for more. Find a local tenant union that can help you without the cost of a lawyer.

They pulled this shit on me before.... So I used their cleaners, got it in writing that since I was using their vendor I was responsible for the initial fee and not paying for a redo etc because how good their cleaner was blah blah.... Their company sucked. Didn't do half the shit they said they would, charged me for vacuuming carpets in a house that had no carpets lol..... So property manager doesn't care to check the work and brings new tenant to come look at the place. It's a fucking disaster.... Get an angry phone call. Left it basically at I used the company you told me to use, take it up with them and hold them accountable. Never again using my own company because the PM going to use their own anyways.

Why are you even complying with all of this? The only thing that is in the line is your deposit? Is it that big? Just move out and stop the never ending cleaning process

Pellego GTgU71 Apr 26

It wasn't never ending, it was a few emails and phone call and I was done. Had I let the property management company do it, it'd of been even more expensive with their markup. The cleaning cost me like 400 bucks, the deposit was like 2500

Pellego GTgU71 Apr 27
