Would making the shift from working at Salesforce to HubSpot be a downgrade in brand name on a resume? TC: $220K YOE: 5 #tech #salesforce #hubspot
As long as you get a higher TC, who cares?
Fair point!
Are you moving up or down the career ladder?
Lateral
SWE? In my domain, I know Salesforce, or at least a former version of it where a lot of folks are really solid. Can’t say the same for Hubspot.
Probably a no depending on role, but whether u stay or go OP I recommend cult deprogramming either way. Ohana!
That’s a very long deprogramming session!
upgrade
You’re worried about brand name? At this stage there’s a lot more important stuff to worry about if the job is a good fit than brand name.
If you are on Linkedine or Twitter, check out latest posts from Saastr's founder, Jason.
Thanks, will do! How do you like working there?
Last one doesn’t mention Hubspot . Do you have link?
But why?!!!!
Do you really have to ask that?!!!
@salesforce is returning to work, after a vacation break. Need guidance on how to keep yourself away from all the news?
Don't come - we'll make you write software instead of just buying software other ppl have written.
Yea, you will have to innovate, build things yourself, not acquire and integrate. Too much...
Do people within Hubspot despise people who come from salesforce? I was part of a salesforce acquisition and as a result built a lot of stuff. I was thinking of applying but don’t want to end up like Msft folks hated at salesforce.
No, they don't. There aren't so many Salesforce folks either.
