Moving back to India

Hi do you know anyone who moved back to India..How has their experience been. So they feel they made a right choice..Also, what do you think it is worth the move. Worth not in the sense of money but say peace of mind kinda worth. Life here feels so template driven.U know like every plans pretty much the same things.everyone talks about same H1B issues.

If you are settled in India then you don’t have to take this stress!.. but few of my friends have reported that the culture is toxic! It may be their individual opinion though!

well it's a choice of which is the lesser of the two evils. pick your poison. would you rather bitch about Visa issues or bitch about lack of basic sanitation?

I’d choose Canada 🤣

My friend moved back few years back. He and his wife both are at good position in Indian company, they already own a house. He says he enjoys life as much as he was here expenses are less and saving more. Main reason was wife not being able to work and always that uncertainty. Taking care of parents is another reason.

My older brother worked in usa for 10 years and moved back last year. He works 10 hours a week and is retired at 45. I also plan to do the same . one million is enough to live kingsize in india taking up part time consulting. Lot of companies want to take up foreign returnees as consultants. Esp smaller companies

This makes more sense. And realistic. My exact goal in coming 3-4 years

i’m surprised you feel life here is template driven! i feel life in india is more template driven and you have a single template. take a look at people around you in india. everyone is a carbon copy of each other with little to no difference in life style. here you have people from different countries and cultures with different perspectives on things. maybe you need to make more friends who are little bit different than you otherwise it doesn’t make big difference where you live. here you will complain about h1b and there you will complain about something else which is more common and relatable .
