Moving from VMware India to US site

Thanks for your comment. My team has presence in US. US counterpart are working on same issues that we work in India. But, as per your comments, whole process seems to be a bit difficult.
On a scale of 1 - 10, where 1 means not possible and 10 mean very easy. I would rate 4/10. It is highly unlikely you will be able to move to US if your team is not in US. Because internal transfer to a different team in US is not possible. The only way to move to US is to work with a team which has presence in both India and US. In that case, you have to work really well within your team that your work get acknowledged in US (maybe by filing patent or presenting your work within internal conferences or showing visible impact like solving some legacy problem or scaling your product insanely well). Once you gain visibility (i.e. someone at a level of sr Director or VP) then you should be able to move to US quite easily. I still feels that’s too much to do to move to US. If your goal is to move to US try google/Microsoft/amazon instead.
