Why moving internally in MS is harder than finding a job outside ?! Wth they seem to prefer hiring outside candidate than adopting their internal candidates - i honestly didnt get it
You are already a demotivated, disgruntled employee....why not get someone fresh from outside?
Probably someone is demotivated bc of the team, the manager, working with someone evil like yourself, or bc the product and want to work in a different team- i didnt get your point at all One day it will turn around you and you will understand
Yeah so you already are an attrition risk because of unhappiness.
If HM hires from outside, they get additional funding from the org for the team, whereas funding does not change when internal hire joins. More incentive to hire from outside.
Because hiring process in MS is not standardized and interview difficulty and hiring bar varies across teams and orgs. That’s why hiring manager/team doesn’t trust candidates interviewed by other teams/orgs.
Same at Meta
I thought it was easy if your psc are good. Is that not right?
They downlevel aggressively and make internal candidates go through full loop interviews. It sucks.
