Once you have a million dollars, what is the motivation to stay in US instead of moving back to India? I am 36 and have about million dollars, and feel i can have better standard of living in India with family and friends.
After 1 the motivation is 2,3,4 …,⚱️
This doesn't apply to everyone.
Well, it depends
Clean air Less chaotic day to day
Clean air? Where?
Ah in US, yes. Better here
I’m afraid coming to Blind to ask this question is not the right way, moving to a country is a completely personal decision. The personal and important reasons are what will draw you to a place and keep you there, in spite of problems which you will inevitably face. India and US both have unique and completely sets of problems and you have to decide which sets you can deal with.
Thanks GPT
I forgot that these days I have to write with mistakes or grammatical shortcuts so I can sound human lol
Air pollution
Biggest drawback. Better move to some good tier 2 3 city or hill stations or may be near beaches.
Would be interested to know if you really going to make it happen
With 2Cr investment and current FD rates you can earn 25L If I was you I’d take that 8Cr and put it in FD and live off that investment People who say you can’t do a lot with $1M are dumb afk
Bingo. Exactly what i am thinking. With India salary and fd income i ll be making atleast a $100k in india. Having that kind of financial freedom was my motivation 10 years back What I miss is celebrating festivals and attending marriages with family 😀
Just pack your bags and leave OP I’m pretty sure you will not miss a thing being close to your family & that’s what matters I’m on ~1Cr right now and want to quit the desensitizing rat race. The kind of purchasing power that money gets you in India is astronomical which people tend to forget Happy for you 😌
Seems like something triggered this thought in your mind. Reflect on what that is and see if you can solve that first before making any impulsive decisions
It’s the fact that he has a million dollars nw and he thinks it’s a lot of money when it isn’t.
It is in India
I mean if you miss India, sure, you should move back
Air quality index is garbage in most Indian cities.
Still covid deaths per capita in urban India was lesser than california
What about asthma per capita? What does Covid deaths have to do with air quality index!
With high inflation in India how far is that 1 Mil gonna go?
You could buy a mansion with all cash, and still have large % of money left. After that, yearly costs will be small % of your yearly income.
In which tier-1 city will you be able to buy a mansion? Not everyone is keen on living in tier-2 and 3 cities.
