Moving up

Looking to grow. I've been incredibly fortunate to be in a demographic which enjoys a certain amount of systemic privilege. I've been promoted up through the ranks of IT and have been involved in all facets of IT service work. I've been stable in my employment in that I have worked for a very small number of companies in over 20yrs. I find myself looking for new challenges, not due to any trouble or upset. Rather I get to a point of having resolved the challenges and the odd occurrences. Stability and consistency acheived, then it becomes monotinous. Continuous improvement acheives diminishing returns. So as i look to move another level up in organizational speak, I seek advice. I don't relish the idea of any lateral sort of move. I feel the need to reach higher. To push myself to bigger things. Any sage advice on moving into vice president level?

Start with an actual idea of what you want to do instead of a paragraph with way too much useless information. Then come back with what you're currently doing, and someone might have advice for you.

Well then climb higher! If you’re not at the very top, then you still have options, right? Some good advice may come if you share your current role and what aspirations you have.
