Has anyone successfully made a claim with them or other similar flight insurance companies? This is the first time in my life Ive booked a flight for my family (wife and 3 kiddos) and purchased this insurance. Unfortunately, today I had to cancel the flight due to changes at work. While it wasn’t anything very serious, it did impact my ability to travel for 2 weeks, so I need to reschedule. Alaska refunded 50% of the price and advised me to file a claim for the remainder. After reading some posts on Reddit, it seems like I need to be almost dead and provide an extensive evidence to get a refund. Any advise? Has anyone done it successfully?

Woman’s offer rescinded due to pregnancy
I’ve done it successfully due to illness and yes it’s true they will demand a lot of evidence and take a long time. Expect 3 months before you see your money if at all. In hindsight I would’ve been better off buying refundable flights and hotels. A little pricier but way less hassle. The insurance is cheaper for a reason (;
