I interviewed at 4 places. Wondering Which one I should take. COMPANY | LOCATION | COMP | LEVEL | ------------------------------------------------------------------ MSFT | Seattle | 210k | SDE II | ------------------------------------------------------------------ GOOGLE | Sunnyville | 210k | SDE I | ------------------------------------------------------------------ Amazon | Sunnyville | 260k | SDE I | ------------------------------------------------------------------ Bloomberg| NYC | 250k | SDE I | ------------------------------------------------------------------- In terms of work I think the microsoft team is the most interesting but I feel life in new york city would be more interesting. . Amazon team is cool too but i also fear PIP YOE: 1.4 TC: 140k using fren's blind acount
G or M
Take Amazon
Why over google?
I can give you 50K reasons to choose amzn over Google
Amazon is not worth the extra 50k. Benefits at G and your wlb would make up for that
If you are single and can work harder, definitely take Amazon
ask G for a match
Didn't your original post say you got offers from 3. Which 3?
Bloomberg is good if you want to go to NYC and have some fun. Or if you are single and looking for a SO. You'll have the senior title in a couple years, which makes looking for the next job easier. Amazing WLB, ~10 hours a week is typical.
I heard bb wlb is great but 10h a week seems hard to believe. Surely this isn't the norm?
Plus don't you have to be in the office 3 days a week? What would you do all day?
whenever there is a G in a poll, it is going to get a most vote
Amazing Bloomberg offer for your yoe. You must have really killed the interview as typically they don't offer that much for non-seniors. It is usually around 200k. Is this with a signing bonus? The offers are close enough where you can just choose based off which location you want to be in and other factors. Personally I'd go with Bloomberg. Good culture and wlb and nyc is the place to be. And all 4 are respectable brands that will open tons more doors for you.
Bloomberg pays 250k for an SDE I? Is this a typo?
They usually don't for sde1 unless op has a masters or something. Or had really good interviews and negotiated hard.
Mans said “Sunnyville” when the iPhone auto corrects to Sunnyvale lol.
Twice
Maybe they live on some Sunnyville street/road/avenue? Type it too often and your phone defaults to that 🙂
