Any advice on getting into music industry whether it be the streaming companies (Spotify) or big labels (Sony, universal, etc)? Early in my career looking for business development roles. Saw an account manager role at Spotify on LinkedIn but it got taken down after a few hundred apps in 3 days...music is my passion and I’d really love to build a career in business around it! Thanks
Amazon music is the best now thanks to Alexa
I can't believe this is how out of touch Qualcomm is
You should check it out how convenient it is to tell Alexa to play any song while driving the car. (Totally hands free) It can play any songs without me even looking making such a safe and smooth driving experience. Also Alexa plays similar songs letting me discover and expand my library. I can’t do that with Spotify (No hands free Alexa) . IMO Alexa amazon music unlimited is amazing experience. Great job Amazon Music and Alexa folks! Great product which is constantly improving. Keep it up
I started in music publishing/sync licensing down in la. Through internships I worked at small publishers/labels to get experience, knowing I wanted to curate music for tv/film. I also love tech so the intersection for me was - streaming. I’ve been at Apple Music the last year and a half. Pinpoint people in the positions at the companies you have interest in, use social media/LinkedIn to ask them questions, how and where they got their start.
That’s an awesome progression! What product do you focus on at Apple Music?
Move first to Amazon Music . Are you in Amazon Music already ?
afaik Amazon music is a joke
Thank you sir . Was considering the principal PM ML position there . I thought It was joke. Now I know!
