How many Twitter employees wanting to choose “yes” or chosen “yes” already? And what is your thought process to be ok to work for more than 8 hours a day for no equity at all, please comment and tell me or DM me. I swear I won’t shame you, I really wanna understand the thought process. Please only Twitter employees comment and vote I request! TC 200k L62#tech #software #engineer #equity
What is this second email? Any screenshot?
There is no second email. This is for the first email, asking employees to choose “yes” or take a 3 month severance and leave.
And what is that exact email? Was it sent out today?
An Afrikaner boer running his company like a South African emerald mine. Color me shocked!
Blood diamond!
Except I see no diamond at the end for the miners.
I'd never work long hours for someone who belittles their employees the way he has. Good luck to the Tweeps, sorry you have to deal with this. Hope most of you are in a financial place to tell him to blow it out his ass.
Ditto. We have our bills and what not but if it means working for a chump like Musk or driving Uber + freelancing or working as a 75k project manager or 100k SWE or working as a Walmart (F Walmart by the way) greeter, choose the non Musk option every single time. F Elon Musk and +1 to Geometric’s take. Current TC: 320k and dropping.
Why doesn’t Dorsay offering jobs to tweeps in his latest venture??
Probably non compete. Plus bootstrapping with a few folk to begin with.
Fuck no unless he's offering higher salary. Don't continue working there unless Musk doubles your salary. More effort means more money
Unpopular opinion apparently: I like my job, I like my company, I like my company culture, I like my coworkers, I agree with the mission of my company, and If I was at twitter I wouldn’t mind answering “yes” to this question. I don’t think necessarily means all nighters or lots of work on weekends outside of crunch. Many there will align with Elon’s values. In before I’m contributing to toxic culture for liking my job
True, but a company expecting me to work more than what they are paying? That doesn’t sound like a proper “culture” but I see, May be the drive for liking the job is superseding the will to leave.
There's nothing wrong with dedicating yourself to something you really believe in and that fulfills you. That generally also comes with a charismatic leader who inspires that culture and who people want to follow. Musk has so far publicly shat on his employees and the product, fired half of them without possibly knowing if that was a good idea or not, had to have his signature product change rolled back since it was a disaster, posed with pictures of trolls mocking the employees he fired....etc. If that's the guy the Tweeps want to follow into war, that's their prerogative but that's not someone I'd dedicate myself to.
Suddenly the people complaining about 50-60 hours at Meta but getting the big $$$ are feeling pretty good about their situation. 😂 Even if you pressed yes to keep your job, surely no one will stay in the long run, right? If you are the type of person to throw yourself into your work, why do it at Twitter? Clearly there's no job security. Things are chaos after Elon fired half the company without any transition period to tie up loose ends and hand things off. Then he realized that and tried to rehire some of them. He said to expect 80 hour weeks and that the company might file for bankruptcy next year. https://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk-twitter-staff-expect-80-hour-work-weeks-report-2022-11 https://fortune.com/2022/11/06/twitter-trying-to-rehire-workers-elon-musk-fired-days-ago-sources-say/
For no equity? Didn’t their RSU just get pumped twice?

Which Big Tech currently has the Best morale?
We don’t know what “yes” even means
I think he mentioned, it will be long hours, and intense work, in his email. No?
Exceptional as standard, no 3 months severance. Why not take the severance and field recruiter calls from the beach?
