Evaluate Job offer from Transunion
I have received job offer from Transunion for SDET. currently I have 4 years of experience totally with Java, Selenium and other automation frameworks.Is the below salaray in chicago my current employer has filed for my PERM and I am not satisfied with the work i am doing right now here. is it worth moving now to a new emploer which files PERM after a year? Salary- 90k 401k- 4% bonus- depends (4-6%) flex time off options
I can't comment on market for chicago, but I can comment on their pay structures a little. What was the title? I can't remember exact pay ranges for all titles, but they're pretty close to this. Average company-wide bonus (not a guarantee) is about 3.5%, anyone E1 (2 levels above P3) or higher gets a flat 6% bonus. Ranks (for the below) are P1-P3, Jr Developer (aka Analyst) - 46-65k Developer (aka Sr Analyst) - 56-85k Sr Developer (aka Consultant) - 66k - 126k
I can confirm that at the Consultant title in the Healthcare vertical I was at 120k 4 years into my tenure at TU. I started a Sr Analyst at 88k. Bonus was 3.5% but they had unparalleled benefits packaged when I joined.
Seems fair for Chicago, but a bit low based on YOE. See if they are able to renegotiate the base to something higher— typically they expect you to negotiate on that.
I tried but they were not on favor of increasing base pay.
