Good marketing by a marketing personnel...😞 It's not wrong to come to your employer's defense but no where in Susan's post did she mention that all the woman at Uber are harassed. She just presented her case and asked for justice. At the same time, let's not diss this person for expressing her opinion.
it is actually poor marketing by someone that should understand influence and messaging tactics better. 1) identify your target audience. who is she trying to target? it seems like she is going after the population of people who believe that 100% of women at uber are sexually harassed. that doesn't sound like a large population. give the general public some credit. 2) deliver an effective & clear message. what is her message? the only salient point she made is that her individual experience (1 person) was positive and she never experienced harassment. so her message is that 1 person had a work environment on par with baseline expectations at any company. it seems like a very thoughtless post with no consideration of the impact it would have on other women and susan in particular. it is far from neutral impact. it feels very selfish and self promotional.
just because 99% of people weren't harasses doesn't dismiss the 1% that were. also, do you think anyone on H1B visa is going to say anything negative about his/her employer?
Especially an employer cancels h1bs as soon as the employee is fired
She just expressed her opinion as did Susan Fowler. Why cant we just keep it at that and not add your stupid and meaningless theories to it? What happened to Susan is horrible and no one should have to deal with it. And high majority if not all of Uber employees are embarrassed by it and want swift justice. The article mentions that too!
I would expect she may have even been DIRECTED to post something to this effect...
exactly
Height of prejudice and selectively believing things! No one cant argue with this.
One year in the States and she comes out so clean, its a paid pumper. No wonder she is part of Growth Marketing team.
Here you go 5 cents.
Is that true that your h1b get invalidated when you are fired from Uber? I've seen so many h1bs crying here, I am just curious what she thinks of that as an immigrant
it's true that h1b is cancelled once you lose your job.
actually when you quit or get fired, you have 10 days (not sure if it's business day or just 10) to find a similar position in another company. then you can transfer your h1b, if not, your visa is cancelled and it's independent of your company, so not just Uber.
This is an example of the culture at Uber and trying to undercut others to rise in the company. I'm sure Mansi will get a promotion soon.
Uber just given a golden opportunity for shameless self promoters
Shameless promotion by her. Openly sucking in front of everyone...f*** her
That's certainly what it looks like, but I think that's a bit harsh - we don't KNOW that it's not genuine.
people will believe what they want to believe. and honestly I'm not sure what to believe here,I definitely don't think she was asked/forced to write that, I don't think she is looking for a promotion, I think it's either some kind of fake blog, or it's just honest because after all, not all Uber is sexists and harassing women. whatever the truth is however, people will believe what they want, once their mind is set, they won't change it :)

Pretty sad. Same shit happened with Amazon when the NYT article came out. A bunch of brown nosers came out defending Amazon. These types of people are clueless. You work in a big company and not everyone experiences the same things. Get out of the spotlight and let the bad publicity drive change in your company.
So, people cannot speak out for themselves?
it may be a paid blog or not, but something mentioning color of skin has highest number of likes. Am I not surprised at this rounding up minority attitude.
